Environmental Question Time - Invitation

You are invited to “Environmental Question Time” organised by Wrexham Environmental Network. The event will be held on the 17th July in the Nick Whitehead lecture theatre at Glyndwr University, Wrexham and will run from 6:00-7:30 with free refreshments to follow. Environmental Question Time, chaired by Professor Peter Heard, brings together a panel of local individuals who collectively have an immense breadth and depth of knowledge, in terms of both subject area and also practical application. Heritage & Culture Grant

The Heritage and Culture grant is now available. Rural Wrexham Community Groups can now apply for upto £10,000 towards the following: - Bilingual Cultural Activities, Small Scale restoration and interpretation of historical monuments, A celebration of heritage features. A new grant scheme is being launched this week for 16-30 year olds looking to start a new business within Rural Wrexham. The grant is will fund up to 90% to a maximum of £1500. An introduction to Local Food First Wrexham

 

Local Food First is a continuation project from Rural Development Plan 1 which aimed at helping local producers sell their products and reduce food mileage, this is now well established and the next stage to develop a Local Food teaching resource pack for local schools and generate a more children friendly website which is fun, interactive and educational as well as continue to support local food producers.
